TUESDAY: Inspiring Spaces by Kelley Motschenbacher

One of the most fun things about blogging, and definitely the most rewarding is forming connection with people you meet through the blog. I'm not exactly sure how I met Kelley of the polished pebble, perhaps when I oooed and ahhhed over her pebble driveway post, or when I saw what an awesome job she did making old olive jars into fountains, perhaps she found me ... either way, she's been inspiring me ever since.

Kelley's blog - which I hope you'll all hop over and visit as soon as you read this, is entertaining, fun, personal, and effortlessly beautiful - all the things that I strive to make Color Outside the Lines - so immediately upon finding it I knew it was going to be one of my faves! Each week as she blogged about her transformation in Ojai, her trips to Catalina, her beautiful home in Newport Beach, I jotted down notes, learning. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised to see that Kelley wasn't just a "do it yourself design fanatic", no she's a bonafide designer with a great website.

"The Polished Pebble is about: simple individual design, re-thinking and reusing, digging the dirt, cruising the coast, running the beach, eating local and kissing the dog."

from the polished pebble side bar.

Yep, and the spoiled by kisses dog, Millie is gonna take it from here and give you a tour of Kelley's fabulous home and designs. And don't worry - the link to her blog is at the bottom so you can click right over and tell her how much she's inspired you, too!

Now, go say hello!
