Remember when I told you about the Christmas Tour of Homes I was asked to participate in? Well, the tartan plaid I ordered for one of the houses arrived yesterday afternoon, and it's beautiful - but not what I had in mind (ideally). I will make it work though, and I'm confident that its significant presence throughout the space will make the room look perfectly luxurious!
The theme: Adirondack Lux
The inspiration:
The concept rendering:
The good stuff:
So give me your thoughts! Does it look like a cozy cabin Christmas in the foothills of the Adirondacks?
!!! WOW !!! LOVE IT!!! I see a little RL inspiration REALLY got to you (he has the affect - doesn't he??)!! Can't wait to see the end result!
ReplyDeleteBTW: Featuring you being on Nate tomorrow as my blog post today... You'll have to stop by to check it out! xo
:D Lynda
Looks like you've nailed it!
ReplyDeletePerfection!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I think it looks really great! Are you using the tartan fabric for a screen? If so, you might consider putting the matching throw pillow on one of the chairs instead of on the sofa in front of the screen... I really like the symmetry of the trees on either side of the sofa!
ReplyDeleteI'm grabbing a blanket and a cup of coco for the results! I love the thought of feathers and of course the plaid. Lots of rough texture, too, which you have -- YUM!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the final room. Please tell more about the Christmas Tour of Homes. I live about an hour and a half south of Buffalo in Bradford and would love to come up for the tour. Peggy from PA bfdgirl@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI love it Artie! This look is my favorite. Plaid, wicker, pine cones, etc. all make my heart go pitter patter.
ReplyDeleteWHAT??? No adirondack deer antlers?? Haha...Room looks lovely, warm and comforting for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteLooks just perfect to me and I can't wait to see you on Nate tomorrow. The DVR is set just in case I can't catch the whole show!
ReplyDeleteI've loved plaid forever, plus a Ralph Lauren look and a lodge look. Can't wait to see your take on the style. Bet it will be great. Sally
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderfully Adirondack to me. I'm sure you will pull this off to perfection!

Cozy, warm and WONDERFUL! I love it. And it's all something I personally would enjoy...so makes it even better. :-)
ReplyDeleteAll this makes me want to spend the holidays at a place featuring all the elements you've included. There is a really cute electric fireplace at plow and hearth that I would add to my own little cabin in the woods!
ReplyDeleteArtie, I think it is fabulous and can't wait to see the final design.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sherry
I think you've got it down Artie...can't wait to see what you do with it all!
