Chintz, and Wicker, and Chinoiserie oh MY! A peek ...

There are so many pieces left to finish in this puzzle, but the living room is starting to come together. Once I get it all finished, I'll have to make time for photos one weekend during the day - and give you all a big before and after. Til' then, you can follow along on instagram for sneak peeks here.

Fingers crossed I finish it before Christmas!

A Picture is Worth ...

The Pied-à-terre

Remember when I used to do these posts?
A Picture is Worth ...
They were a shameless copy of Joan's "Snapshot" posts which featured one photo, expertly styled, and stunningly captured (all of her photos are) with little or no writing. They were quick, refreshing, and left you longing for more.
They were the precursor to Instagram!

I remember asking Joan if I could copy her ... changing the name of course.
My mother raised me better.

Of course Joan ...
(and in the event you don't know who this Joan is)
she writes the fabulous blog For the Love of a House
granted me full permission to be a bit of a plagiarist,
and I started in her footsteps.

I figured while I'm working on the pied-à-terre, it might be useful to revive these posts.
So you can see what's going on.
As it happens.
Like news.
REALLY IMPORTANT NEWS!

I'll be posting soon about the FABULOUS art framed on either side of the mirror above the sofa.
Until then, here it is.
Phase One, View One.

Almost Normal ...

Lewiston Tour of Kitchens and Homes 2014 Client

Well, the weekend is over - and so goes another year of the Lewiston Tour of Kitchens. This year, I had the ultimate pleasure of not only working on a new house, but making a fabulous friend with the beautiful homeowner and her family. We had a great time, and while we were not voted Best of Show, I have to say that it was one of the most worthwhile experiences of my time with the Lewiston Tours.

This house marks my retirement from the organization, freeing up my winters and summers to work on my own projects, both at home and for other clients. More photos to come ... but as I wind down the weekend with the beginning of the "work" week, I wanted to touch base and tell all of you that things are almost back to normal ... more posts coming soon!
