Sunday Three Things ...

Hey everyone! Big weekend ahead with Columbus Day Weekend giving most of us a 3-day respite from life at the office! I've got plans to finish working on the office and giving you more pictures of that space next week, along with a few other changes that have occurred around CdlV. Of course, this week I spent time shopping mostly for the office, so here we go:

1. Faux Sheepskin $39 - $130.

I really love CSN stores, particularly CSNlighting.com, and CSNrugs.com. I find that they have a really easily navigable website, and the prices on most items are less than what you'll find in stores.

As I finish up my shopping spree for the office, I felt like I needed a splurge under foot, and CSNrugs.com came to the rescue with this faux sheepskin rug by Walk On Me. I plan on having it in the desk area of the room, just poking over the Turkish rug that covers the other area. A warm and fuzzy that will keep me happy at the computer for lots more blogging.

2. Shelf Decor from theinglenookdecor.com $25+

Maureen at the Inglenook Decor has great taste, and keeps her online store filled with gorgeous and unique items that are perfect for filling shelves. (Like my wall of shelves in the office!) Click on the pictures above to link back to the site for purchase.

With prices well below what you'll find in other stores, even discount stores, The Inglenook Decor is a great place to keep in mind when you're looking for fun items for your home or for gifts. Quick shipping, too!

Stay tuned for a giveaway of one of the above mentioned items, and a FABULOUS discount for all Color Outside Readers on Monday!

3. Convex Mirrors at West Elm $24-39

My little bulls eye mirror above my desk area was a Christmas gift from my friend Melisa. She found it at a local florist and was sweet enough to get it for me. It sat in the basement until I had the perfect spot for it - and now it's right at home. Typically, they can be quite expensive, but I found these NEW to the West Elm website. The small one ($24)about 9" in diameter, the large one ($39) is 13" in diameter. Don't need them in white? Paint them! ;)

Giveaway Monday - check back with me.

Sunday: Three Things ...

Hi everyone! I'm helping Scott with his Open House today til' 5pm, so my Sunday faves are up a little later than usual.

1. The Ghost Chair at a Bargain Chair Price: $135.00
I've been looking for an office chair that will be sturdy enough, and comfortable enough to take long bouts of use and still be beautiful. Because my alcove of an office space is only about 25 square feet, I figured that a ghost chair would be the perfect solution!

Now, thanks to Interior Express, the Ghost Chair is affordable for almost all budgets - and they even come in black and ivory! Take a look, and if you have one of these chairs, email me or leave a comment to let me know how you like them!

2. Calico Corners New Fabrics: $25.99 and up

I probably haven't been in the local Calico Corners store in over 4-months. I've not needed to shop for fabric, and really haven't had the time to go just for fun. I did pop in this past Wednesday, though and I was very pleasantly surprised at some of the beautiful new stuff they had in store and for order. (Click on Picture to see the fabrics in the collection.)

And lastly, this week my phone broke. Good ol' Lotus just up and shut down, with no warning, right in the middle of a telephone call. So, I had to get another one and I'm absolutely loving my new:

3. Sprint's HTC EVO 4g

Although I haven't figured out all of the lovely features that it has, and I can't get all of my contacts to move over ... I'm rather fond of it already, and keep touching it just to make sure it hasn't gone the way of the lotus. If you're a EVO carrier, email me with tips and tricks you've learned along the way! I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Monday I'll have a picture or two from my Home Office - still in shambles thanks to this week of hard labor helping Scott clear out the house from you know where. Stay tuned, and happy shopping!

Sunday: Three Things ...

Of course this week I decided that I was going to redecorate my home office. It seemed easy enough, but as with any project - there's always something that doesn't go according to plan and takes your timeline right off track. Especially when it's a project of your own. I did get a chance to do some shopping though and sure enough as with any week found two websites, and three photos to share with you.

1. LONNY magazine's catalog of inspiration:
I love logging into LONNY magazine to get my monthly dose of cool. This month, I logged on and there was a new screen: Decorate. A catalog of gorgeous rooms and styling perfect for inspiration. Best part it's super easy to right click and save to your personal fave files. Check it out, there's bound to be something you'll love in a host of images you have probably never seen.

Here are a couple of my favorites from today:

2. The second thing I found this week is the website: COLOR HUNTER! This is an invaluable resource for designers and bloggers. You simply upload your photo and the site gives you the color code and pallete from which to work with. Simple, inventive, and you can play around with as many pictures as you want! Best part, FREE!

I'm hard at work on putting it all together - the home office - Stay tuned!

SUNDAY: Two Things

I shop everyday. I shop for me, I shop for Scott, I shop for friends, I shop for clients ... I love to shop. And nothing is quite as wonderful as finding a bargain worth sharing. I hope to make this a regular post each week, giving you inspirational pieces at a price you can afford!

Here's what 2 things I'm obsessed with this week:

1. The IKEA HENRIKSDAL Slipcovered Dining Chair with Armrests $99

I actually sat in this chair a few weekends ago when we took a trip with our friends Rick and Michael to the IKEA in Pittsburgh. They're comfy, sturdy, and beautifully sized - perfect for a formal dining room or casual breakfast nook. They're available of course in the standard white slip through IKEA, however, you can order a custom slipcover to fit the Henriksdal frame through BEMZ.com in about 40 different fabrics, all of which you can order samples of before deciding on the slipcovers - which range in price from $69 - $139.

I literally can not wait for an excuse to use these!

2. Martha Stewart Paint : Silhouette Almost Black

I recently finished a project with this beautiful black from Martha Stewart Living line of paints available at Home Depot. I absolutely love it! Better yet, the MSL paints come in a perfectly sized 8oz. tester in an eggshell finish perfect for side tables, behind bookshelves, cabinets, and the like.

Stick around, I plan on showing you what I've done with this paint on Thursday.
