I was first introduced to the fame of Gumps through Scott, who lived in San Francisco years ago, and had frequented the glorious bazaar. After moving here, and struggling to find finishing pieces for our spaces, he had a thoughtful moment to Gumps, and since I've been a consistent customer - from their sale pages of course!
This season, I found that Gumps was having quite the sale on their holiday ornaments, and I wanted to share that deal with all of you! Some of these gorgeous ornaments are as low as $1 each, with free shipping! I'm sure you're all working feverishly on your holiday decor, just fiddling with cameras and taking pictures to send, right? Maybe you're looking for that perfect high-end ornament or set of ornaments to finish out the tree, or start a new theme? Well, as I always try to help, take a look at these!
Festoon the tree with these dramatic starbursts, handshaped from molten glass with a metallic gold finish. Each ornament is 4 3/4"H. Imported. A beautiful set of 6 for only $19, and shipping is free! Or, for a bit of sparkle - (I bought two sets of these!) an exceptional value, this set of 36 ornaments includes six each of six different styles. Handcrafted from clear glass, the ornaments sparkle like miniature ice sculptures. Festoon the tree, or drape them from a garland for a sophisticated holiday look. From 4"L to 9 1/2"L. Imported. That's just $1 a piece! Sparkling snowflakes bring a wintry feel to holiday decor, whether hung on a tree or suspended from a garland. The crystal ornaments are handcrafted in intricate three-dimensional designs. Set of 12 includes six each of two styles. 3" diam. Imported. You guessed it, FREE SHIPPING, and only $28. $2.33/each! That's cheaper than you'll find less quality pieces at your neighborhood craft store for 1/2 off!
Mouthblown of ruby red glass and detailed with hand-applied gold glitter. 8"L. Imported. A set of 4, for only $8.99! $2.25 each? What a deal!
Gumps has quite the selection of beautiful ornaments, but they understand themed trees and gift ornaments well. So if you have a hubby who loves pizza, beer, and a good football game, pay homage with these beautiful ornaments, mouthblown in Poland from soda glass and detailed with hand-applied paint and glitter. A set of two for only $14.99.
Or perhaps vintage cars is his thing? Classic cars from yesterday and today get gussied up for Christmas. Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, the whimsical glass cars are mouthblown, handpainted, and dusted with glitter. Only $19.99/each.
There are many, many more options on the Gumps website, both on sale, and not on sale, priced from $1/each to $150/each. Remember - ornaments make great gifts!
And make sure to send your finished decoration pictures my way for feature right here on the blog!
I walked through Gumps when they were setting up their Christmas displays about a month ago and everything was so pretty!
ReplyDeleteoooh be still my heart - I love those starbursts! ... must... resist!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some "done" pictures to send you, twin-o-mine, but nada mucho is done over here besides painting walls! Very odd celebration, I know, but sanity is key at this point!
Oh and a little chuckle for you - transferware... You, Gollum and I collect it - she collects brown, you blue, and me red. So we can find things for each other and not miss out for ourselves! LOL!

ReplyDeleteNo question, Artie, that you picked the best! You will always enjoy these and never tire of them.
ReplyDeleteWhen unwrapping Christmas ornaments each season, it's like a visit with old friends, especially the ones with memories. I had bought my grandmother an ornament thirty years ago that said "Merry Christmas Grandmother" and she hung it on her tree every year. She passed away about ten years ago and I received the ornament back. About three years, I broke it and I still cannot get over it! I saved the piece that had "Grandmother" intact and still place it on the tree in her memory.
