Perhaps I spoke to soon about my screen door project this week. Silly of me to think that the weather might cooperate!
The door has been delivered, and the hinges, knobs, and all are in place ... but until the rain subsides the door cannot be painted. I'm hoping that Mr. Weather man has it right for tomorrow, and I'll get it all up and painted, and beautiful - worthy of the blog!
With so many of you carrying memories of screen doors of your past, I hate to post an in-progress photo! So, (and yes - I feel like a broken record) stay tuned!
I am also working on a front door project!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with mother nature!
Leslie
Am eagerly looking forward to your front door -- the rain is falling on the prairie as well -- and I have a brick walk full of weeds that need to be attended to!
ReplyDeleteI have cast one of my witchy spells ..... good weather heading your way!
ReplyDeleteOh no, that darn rain! I want to see that door!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is rainy here today too. I'm not at all fond of rain, that is why I do not live in Seattle, it would drive me nuts.
hey, a broken Artie record

Dang. I wanna see what it looks like NOW.

Drats, that darn rain has a way of squelching the best made plans. Oh well, it just keeps in in suspense, that's all. Happy May Day, Artie! ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteBummer...all good things take time...patience my friend! :>) I can't wait to see though!
ReplyDeleteHope mother nature is listening! Good luck on your project, Artie...Christine
ReplyDeleteOH~~~ Everyday I keep waiting to see your screen door, I can hardly wait!! You and I both will be hoping for good weather tomorrow, I'm going on a garden tour, they are always better when the weather is nice.

Rain Rain...come OUR way. We are dry dry dry here. Fires keep popping up. No good!
ReplyDeleteBest to your screen door project!
Bang! (that is a screen door slamming...get it?)
Oh...so hope the weather does cooperate...looking forward to seeing it when you're done! Take some before pics and you'll have a great Met Monday post! :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteIt's okay, take your time because as soon as you install it, you'll be yelling at us all to "stay in or stay out"......

RAIN....think positive Artie. At least you don't have to shovel it. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the pics perhaps tomorrow or Monday.
Can't wait to see the door project. I want a wooden screen door for my back door that I can have an open section in the bottom/ center for my pets to access. I hated removing my full view storm door but I did not like the appearance of having it propped open to allow the dogs to utilize the pet door in the main door.
ReplyDeleteI love the choice of music which calms me as I peruse your stories/pictures. Thanks!
Door!.....Door!......Door!......(chanting..)
ReplyDeleteDo you know how excited I am about this project? Every.single.screen.door.I.see. makes me get even more excited!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to take pictures of the process? I can't wait myself.
