I've been working long and tiring hours at my office these past few weeks, and I feel awful that my blog and my fantastic followers and lurkers have suffered because of it. I knew that I needed to participate this week, and I needed to make it good, so the beautiful Maureen at Inglenook Decor was so kind to sponsor this giveaway valued at over $30.00.
Inglenook Decor, the perfect place to find modern vintage decor, is filled to the brim with interesting and beautiful home decor at reasonable prices! Run over and take a look: It was more than a month ago, before the long work hours began when Maureen emailed me and asked me about this giveaway. I took a peak around her great collection of decor items on her site, and I immediately found myself drawn to these cute bird tealight holders:
Aren't they nice? Priced reasonably at $7.95/ea, I couldn't help but to immediately start creating a tablescape in my mind. Branches and greenery pared with crystals and crisp white stoneware and linen napkins, a sort of "glamorous woodland nymph" dinner party. I knew they'd be the perfect must have for any table setting, and so Maureen boxed them up and sent to me to share with all of you!
Nested in their sage linen napkins, these little birds look right at home. Surrounded by the gilded woods of Casa de la Vanderdogan, and settled on the beautiful clean lines of vintage stoneware, you hopefully can see the Forest Glam theme here.
These make the most perfect tealight holders. Small enough to sit on a plate as a nameless tag, yet large enough to make a statement - everyone at the party would ask, "Where in the world did you get these?" And you can proudly say: Inglenook Decor.
Probably the last time I can get away with using my bamboo flatware, I had to pull them into this setting. Layered with a 3-course theme, they add a nice texture to the collection, don't you think?
Pheasant feathers find a new home tucked behind the hand turned wooden napkin ring stained in a rich walnut to match the table finish.
And from above, looking down at the party, the sparkle of tealights nestled between the wings of birds fill the table with an elegant ambiance everyone is sure to enjoy.
They even make a great centerpiece option! Found here among the branches, twigs, and moss.
Cast iron, these birds are made from hand cut molds showing great detail on from the beak to the bustle.

But they're not just for dining. No, indeed these beautiful accents would find a place just about anywhere in your home or garden.

As a matter of fact, a friend of mine who is a designer did a table at my house years ago for an event, using hunt china from a jewelry store and pheasant feathers. I still love that tablescape! And yours has so many fresh and fun elements. Good job.

I like the idea of the pheasant feather in with the napkin ring--cleaver . I am wondering what you used for the branches? This is such a nice setting--it would go great in my second living room that I nickname the fall room because it has lots of the same colors that are in your table setting! NICE--just ship the whole thing to me! Ha!

ReplyDeleteI am here visiting via my tablescape travels today.
