December to Remember Day 3: Tablescape Thursday

No words beyond this point, as I hope the photos will convey the soft, casual feel of this dinner. Tomorrow though, check back for If I can Do It Friday when I show you the fun and unexpected making of this centerpiece, because afterall, if I can do it ... so can you!

Thank you to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting another beautiful Tablescape Thursday.

  5. Hi Artieness! Yep, it was worth the wait! Your table is beautiful. It's simple and elegant. Love the crosses. I actually have some similar to these on my Christmas tree. Oh, and your centerpiece is gorgeous. I love those little green bell looking flowers!
Now speaking of Christmas trees! I scrolled down and saw your peacock tree! Oh, my goodness! I've never seen a more beautiful tree in my life. It's so unusual and bright but it's so sophisticated and are you sure there's a tree under all of that beautifulness? :)
Thanks for popping in to see me today.
I've still not been able to do anything in my living room. I've been sick and so much is going on, but I will one day and you'll be the first to know and I will toot your horn higher than your peacock tree! :)
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  6. Artie -=- your table is smashing! I see the burlap again -- a great backdrop for the rest of your tablescape. And your centerpiece -- perfect -- Christmasy without being overly so and low -- so you can talk over!

Love big blowsy centerpieces for show but dinner centerpieces need to be able to talk over -- if we're in question before a dinner party, Jim and I will sit on opposite sides of the table -- just to make sure!

  8. Love the crosses and the bells of Ireland. We used them extensively at "our" wedding reception--(daughter's) and I have been wishing I could grow them ever since!

artie - the pictures are running into the right margin - on my computer - i wonder if it is like that on everyones? i wonder if you need to get a wider template - try one that says WIDE - anyway, it might just be my computer - is it not doing that on yours?

  14. Your tablescape is right up my alley! I love the natural elements: the burlap runner, wicker chargers and the white ironstone picks up on the centerpiece white flowers. I have a similar container I used in my Tablescape Thursday. I would love to do what you did with it. I look forward to your next post so I can see how you put it together. --Delores
