Nearing The End ...

There are so many things that I have learned about during this renovation. Some of those things include talents that I didn't know I had before it all started, but now, three weeks into it - I'm ready for the grunt work to wrap up, and the decorating to begin. I'm not sure what has kept me sane in the past couple of weeks, or if I'm sane at all - but certainly taking the time to dream of what "it will all look like in the end" has helped to ease the back pain, soothe the bruises and cuts, and dry the tears of frustration.

This weekend Scott, our friend Paul, and I ventured out to find the perfect side table for the tub, a mirror and a stool. I had planned to go to Rochester, but Scott decided to surprise me with a trip to Erie, Pa. instead. And a surprise it was. After only 2-hours of shopping, I realized there wasn't much in Erie, Pa. worth bringing home. We headed back and stopped at a row of local antique stores to find a great mirror at a great bargain, $10! Though it's not as large as I wanted, it's the perfect place holder, and for that price - who could pass it up?

The sconces are on their way - noted delivery for Tuesday, the same day our plumber will be back to install the sink and faucet. Yes, once Tuesday comes - the grunt work will be over, and the always fun part can begin!

Stay tuned!

  2. ten dollars???!!! Good grief, man, you are SO lucky!! For some reason, even the thrift shops here are pricey- it's a rarity to get a good bargain like that. Can't wait to see it
