FRIDAY: Vignette Fridays

I've been SO swamped helping Scott with the disaster house that I almost forgot about Vignette Fridays! Shame on me!

Today I thought I'd share with you the fabrics that I'm using to create a design board for the living and dining room of Scott's listing for the open house. I thought, after Scott suggested it, that it would be a great way to give people a bit of an idea what the room would look like space planned and designed. It is a great house, full of character and someone with some creativity - or the money to hire me - could have a beautiful home perfectly positioned for entertaining on a grand scale! (The living room alone is 29x20!!!)

If you're local and want to stop by to see my design boards, the Open House is THIS Sunday, from noon to 5pm, at 57 Dana Road, Buffalo, New York!

Happy Friday! Oh, and if this is your first time here, WELCOME! And please, consider becoming a follower on the right sidebar. You're all the best! The button to post on your blog this week is here:

Please post it to let everyone know that you are participating, and direct them back to Color Outside the Lines to see all of the other vignettes! Just below, you'll find where you can add your link thanks to inlinkz!

  1. Fabric is looking good. Love to see your work! Thanks for hosting.

  2. I'm liking the color scheme, Artie. Nice and rich. I think it's a good idea to show potential buyers what can be done to enhance the house. Good luck with it! Still can't believe what a transformation you all performed on the house. :-)

  3. Looks great, Artie..
    Have fun with it...
    Thanks for hosting...

  4. Boy, it sounds like you have been really busy! I hope you will have time to swing by my blog...I have written about the need for us to slow down and relax!

    Take care and best wishes,

  5. OH MY GOSH, Artie- For some reason when I think of you I think of NYCity! lol Guess what, my friend? I grew up just across the border from Elmira, NY. My brother still lives there. I used to date a man from Buffalo, NY, many eons ago. It is a town unto itself, isn't it? You either love it or hate it. I hope you love the snow cuz you guys always get socked.

I love the rich color combos you are showing here. I hope you will be able to show us some shots of the house itself. We won't tell;>) Hugs & have a great weekend- Diana

  6. The design board sounds like a wonderful idea, Artie! That house could definitely be a showplace.

  7. This is a brilliant idea, Artie. Sometimes people just need a nudge to see what can be...

    Thanks for hosting VF!

  8. Hi Artie! The fabric looks great! The colors are looking good!
Now, Dear One!! I've been traveling and scrolled down to your post on the staging of the mid century house! OH, my goodness! I can't imagine what y'all had to do with the clean up of clutter and filth! You made it look fantastic! I'm so impressed with such a young one like you! You're just so good! Bless your heart - you and Scott needed a huge award for doing this! :)
I'm playing with the vignettes with you this morning.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  9. Oh, I forgot! I'm having a blog party! The Heart of the Home Party - we'll be showing our kitchens. This post would be perfect. Of course, I'd love to see your kitchen. I'd love it if you could come!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

    :D Lynda

  12. Thanks for the great party!

    Have a fun weekend.

  13. Thanks for hosting Artie. I joined a little late. Wish I could come to the open house. Bet it's lovely.

  14. This is a super idea Artie! (I hope you left your Business card.)

A few years ago as Executor of my Mother's estate, I decided to sale the home 'as is' and did up computer generated floorplans and posted them throughout the house.
It sold in less than four days. The purchaser entirely gutted it and followed a number of my recommendations. He then 'flipped it'. I have since met the new owners and they love it. It's so nice to know the home I grew up in
for a good portion of my life, is once again in T-loving hands.

I love your comments, so thank you for leaving them!
