TUESDAY: Inspiring Spaces by Jeffrey Bilhuber

Jeffrey Bilhuber is a design icon, and one of my "American Idol's" for his fresh perspective on traditional interiors. Pictures of rooms that he has created have been featured in my blog several times, but I've never done a post solely on the talents of Mr. Bilhuber, and today seems like the perfect time to start.

Bilhuber apparently has only one rule: Create beautiful rooms that are still practical, and functional and every image on every page of his books: Defining Luxury and Design Basics, to every page of every shelter magazine ever featuring his talent proves that Bilhuber accomplishes that and more. His fresh and inventive take on traditionalism, and his confidence and instinctive sophisticated style shine through, all with a modern sensibility perfectly befit to how we all live today.

Jeffrey's website features eye candy galore, both from homes he has designed for others, and his own. After working on my home office for the past couple of weeks sporadically, I wanted to share with you pictures of Bilhuber's home office and living room. Perfectly appointed, with touches of orange scattered here and there, Bilhuber's sophisticated, all-American style shines in these spaces, and it's the perfect way to start the week, so Happy Tuesday ... enjoy!

  3. While not my taste, to much pattern, the interiors look very peaceful. Always nice seeing interiors outside my range of view.

  5. I am so happy with this post. I just had some one visit and said how could you paint a 13 point stag antler white, well I did the cow skull too about 12 years ago and I like it. After seeing this I should print that room out and mail it to them.
