I love lamps! The first ones are a tad too rustic for my taste but I like the rest of them. I have a couple of those old copper fire extinguishers...what a great idea for them! xo Diana
I have many, many lamps. One belonged to my mother-in-law, is about 70 years old and is made from an antique Japanese vase. I have a pair of oversized lamps made from tin finials reclaimed from the top of an old building. I have a pair of lamps I made from two mid-century Italian brass tables shaped like sheaves of wheat. I also have two old gears from farm equipment that I plan to make into a pair of lamps. I am undecided if I will leave them rusty or wire brush and gild them. Thinking of you, Artie, and sending positive thoughts your way. Best...Victoria
Like Linda above, I have waaay too many lamps, don't want to part with any of them, and continue to add to my collection. I just rotate them. I have had lamps made using tea tins, spelter statues, pate jars, you name it! It's quite fun and unique to have a one-of-a-kind lamp(s).
OMG..Artie! What beautiful inspiration. I love lamps, I have tons, I switch them from room to room, I paint them...I switch the shades. It's like a black dress and you can just do what you want with it.
I have to say that I love the fire extinguisher lamp. I almost bought one of those old brass extinguishers off Craigslist for a firefighter friend.
Have I ever! My prob is I have TOO many lamps in the casa!
ReplyDeleteHope your Mom is doing well.
Lamps are jewelry to me! Love them!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you & your family in my prayers, Artie. God bless.
