I agree with you, Artie. I currently have five in my home -- a French bronze, an early 20th century art nouveau plaster, a Thai goddess, a 19th century marble bas relief and a contemporary plaster bas relief -- and I am always on the look out for more. Best...Victoria
Hi, I just bought an antique bust of a yound maiden from a flea market. They said it came fro an old home. There is writing on her shoulder but i can not make out what the signature says? It also has horse hair in the plaster when i turn it over and look up into the bottom of the piece. the overall color of the piece is a very light sand color. Can you tell me how old this bust may be and was that common for them to have horse hair in the plaster? Thanks and i love this blog! Patty
I agree, they are an 'interesting accessory', however I have never owned one.
ReplyDeleteWith respect to having too many heads; you know what they say Artie "two heads are better than one". ºÜº
Hugs to you my friend and have a great day! -Brenda-
