Craigslist Bargains Around the Country

I love taking a look at Craigslist to see what unique and interesting things are out there for a bargain. While I usually only look in Buffalo, sometimes it's a little fun to see what people around the country have offered up to the world from the depths of their basements and garages. Let's take a look:

In Dallas, this Aidan Gray Mirror is only $100! And the thing is HUGE! 51" tall, 33" wide. A steal, given that the retail price on this piece is over $800.

I can totally see that mirror above this chest, only $80 in New Orleans, which the ad says was once a prop piece at a Ralph Lauren store.

In Rancho Bernardo, California these chairs are only $60 for all 4! They remind me so much of the John Robshaw German silver leafed dining chairs here:

If you were crafty, you could totally copy the look of this chair with some silver leaf and new fabric. Plop two of those on either side of the RL prop dresser, with the mirror above, and you have a lovely foyer vignette for $240! (Not including the gas to drive across the country!) Roll with me on the fantasy, people!

In other news, Cross Bottle Guy now has jewelry! Yep, pieces are forthcoming, but you can peek in at what's online so far here: http://crossbottleguy.blogspot.com/p/wearable-cross-bottle-guy.html

  2. Thanks for the laugh! I would totally do it, too. It is so frustrating to look on CraigsList here because there is nothing but junk that I would be embarrassed to set out on the curb.

  4. I drool over most of your posts, but I love the craigslist ideas best since I am an aficionado of that source: I scored 4 chairs for 350 that were originally 1600 apiece! Wealthy Hollywood Hills types didn't value them as I have!
