Book Review: Beachside Bohemain

Do you remember the HGTV show, "Home by Novogratz"? The show had two good seasons, and it showcased designer couple Cortney and Robert Novogratz, and their unique perspective on design. Their spaces were wildly original, and how they balanced their many NYC clients with seven, YES SEVEN, children. Self-taught designers, they worked together through all sorts of conflicts to create remarkable spaces for their always happy clients. Of course, HGTV made them a household name during their two seasons on the network, but the husband and wife design team had been creating amazing spaces long before that, with the NYC based design studio Sixx Design. After HGTV they had a short series on Bravo called "9 By Design".

This new book, Beachside Bohemian: Easy Living by the Sea published by Rizzoli, showcases the couple's unique way of combining real life, and great decorating in their own beachfront vacation home in Brazil. Like most of their projects, the house was in need of repair when they bought it, but after the renovation, the spaces were well, book worthy. Take a look:

Part interior design book, part renovation story and catalog, part travel guide to Brazil, the book is filled with good design, great photos, and a little wanderlust. Take a closer look, and grab your copy via the Amazon link below:

Beachside Bohemian is the second for the Novogratz family. If you're interested in taking a peak at their first, Downtown Chic, you can find it here:
