A Sign of Things to Come

I've been busy at the sewing machine, making new pillows for the chairs in a lighter tone to help play off the new art on the mantle. (I've also gotten on a grain sack kick, and just had to work up an Artie version!) I thought I'd give you all a sneak peak!

I will post the finished room, along with a tip on transforming your dining room chairs for a dinner party in a no-sew project tomorrow night! Enjoy your Monday!

  5. I am looking forward to seeing your version, Artie!

When I was in high school, I made and embroidered feed sack tea towels. I also, as a child, wore dresses my grandmother made from "sacks". Just a little trivia from a "senior" blogger.

  6. Another senior blogger signing in today .... my clothes were all made from feed sacks from age 1-6 or so ... aprons, pillow cases and many other necessities were made from them as well. I say BRAVO to you, Artie, for the encore.

  12. Hi Artie, looks like you've been busy. Don't you just love it when a design idea begins to take shape and then you can shop/sew to make it a reality???
