December to Remember Day 10: One More Day

Hi my dear, dear, WONDERFUL readers and friends. I had hoped to have a post for you today - but alas, this has proven to be a difficult week. I will however, have a lovely post for you tomorrow that I hope you will all enjoy and comment on with glee! I'll be sharing the decor of my neighborhood friends, and I think you'll all get a wonderful kick out of seeing how different we all are. I know I did.

For now though - check out this inspiring lot of designer Christmas decor:

Care for tea?

A Vintage tabletop Christmas.

And I thought my fireplace mantel was loaded!

Christmas in monochrome. Red, monochrome.

My absolute FAVORITE combination this time of year. Scent, texture, visual - pomegranates and pinecones ... no better pairing.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Elegantly simple.

Simply elegant.

A modern twist.

Twisting topiary.

I promise we'll be back up and running in no time! Thanks for checking in!

  1. Hello dear friend...
I pray you are well, and nothing serious, you never miss a post. You and Scott must be running your legs off again. What on earth are you decorating now? Do you even have anything left to decorate? I can't believe that you would.

Sadly still no package has arrived. Did you check the address? I am going to post some pics before the weekend so that you can see what I have done. You will be pleased I know.

You and Scott take care. Stay warm with the weather changes, and how is your foot? Talk to you soon.
Much love and hugs to you both. Friends Always, Sherry

  6. Lovely Christmas decor but I don't think any rivals yours -- yours this year is definitely magazine worthy --

Take care and enjoy the season -- have a glass of wine with Scott in front of the fireplace with just the trees ons and enjoy!

  10. If you could see me now !!! I am running for my hot glue gun because I have a mirror over my fireplace that is begging for a pine cone/garland treatment. Thanks for inspiring me .....

  11. Artie~I hope it's just the Christmas rush that has you distracted.
The peacock tree took my breath away!! It is *STUNNING*, and has such an array of beautty from the feathers to the agate ornaments. I too couldn't resist the agates for the incredible price. You are so generous to share your connections.
I have been able to purchase items from your suggestions, better priced than I can find at the trade show.
I have to say the burlap tablescape was a surprise. I couldn't believe what (for me) can be a harsh texture came across so soft, warm and inviting. The fabric boarder actually was a subtle, but significant touch that softened the burlap without losing the effect. You always show the perfect blends of textures that compliment each other. Once again I leave with hope I can pull the decor together with your tips.

    Sweet Holiday wishes,
    Sara

  12. I really enjoyed seeing your neighbors' gardens so this will be a special treat! Would love to see a post on just your acquarium sometime! What kind of fish, do they have names, what kind of plants, rocks and filtering system! Inspire me to buy one!
