A little overwhelmed ...

Yes, I believe that the load is a little too heavy to carry right now. Our trip to NYC was long overdue. Stress at work, and a waining love for the Christmas decor at CdlV could have carried the luggage onto the plane. The floors here are littered with totes of Christmas goodies, art and accessories that need to be put away for next Christmas, and the art and accessories that need to be put out for this spring. There are narrow pathways with which you can navigate to the next room of clutter and Christmas debris, and I'm finding it a little more comforting here at my computer, in my cluttered office, than downstairs toting those bins to the garage by myself ... (see picture above!)

It serves this wonder: do I do too much? Is my ambition crippling my motivation?

Yes, I believe that I might have bitten off more than I can chew ... off to push and shove my way through. See you tomorrow.

  1. I feel your pain. I have been burning the candle at both ends for the last year. I went out and spent some time with friends yesterday. Laughed till my tummy hurt and started to find fun again. I feel so much better today. I even cleaned the house. Hang in there.

  3. Do you realize how busy you've been the past couple of months? Oh yes, I've been lurking, always waiting to unwrap the treasures you've got. But I've felt I shouldn't comment because I'm not blogging. You share your knowledge and creative talents graciously and with good humor. I'm a big fan of yours. Let your muse rest and recharge. I held my breath when my PC stuck on that donkey and the broken cart. Oh no--he's not pulling the plug, is he? Pam

  8. Not to take away from what you are feeling, but I laughed and laughed at these photos. D just cracks me up each time I see him and I feel that donkey's pain!
It seems universal - everyone I know feels overwhelmed right now - slow down, Twin. Get some friends over there and have a "take the totes to the garage party
and then share a pizza and a couple bottles of wine and some laughs to celebrate the wider passageways!

  9. You are sooo funny! I hope you can rest and not feel stressed. I'm that way right now! My artistic mind has all these amazing ideas, but my body is, alas, weaker!

  10. That picture is so HILARIOUS! It is exactly the same scene we saw in China last week. The Big Guy and I were sitting in a restaurant in Guangzhou watching all the work going on in the street which ran beside a canal. The street was all torn up and workers were installing beautiful granite sidewalks. Unfortunately the distance between the sidewalk and the road was very deep due to construction. A fellow came allong on a 3 wheel bike with a very large load of something on the back. As he attempted to scale the distance between road and sidewalk.......this exact scene happened! The poor fellow went flying of his bike backwards and his load spread out all over the street. He seemed unfazed as he re-loaded his bike and set off to wherever he was headed. What a funny sight :)
