Insomiac

Because I apparently have absolutely nothing better to do between 1am and 3am, check out what I got accomplished in the wee hours of this morning while jamming (and singing) to the Sister Act 2 Soundtrack:

That's right folks, I'm almost done. One wall left to do, and of course, I've saved what I anticipate will be the most difficult for last. There are several smaller cuts that have to be made to accommodate the plumbing on the opposite wall from the corner shown - and it's my intention to start on that tomorrow with hope to have this grouted by Sunday afternoon.

I got word today that the sink had been put onto a truck, and it's headed in this direction. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for a quick and safe delivery. I'll keep it all a sort-of-secret til' it actually gets here and I can take a picture of it for you all to see. I hope you'll love it.

Of course, what's a bathroom sink without a faucet? I've got my eye on a few, all in a brushed nickel finish even though the pictures below are other finishes, and I'm hoping a blog poll will help me make up my mind:

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

There's a poll set up on the sidebar. Feel free to pick one, and certainly leave a comment if you feel so inclined. I really miss reading them.

  2. LOVE #1 and I definitely think you should send Whoopie pics of your tile job. How cool would it be to see your bathroom on The View!

  3. Options 1 or 3, please. Bridge faucets rock my little world. Kudos on the tile. We did the white with the black accents in our bath, too. Classic.

  4. Faucet 2 or 3. Nice job on the tile. It is amazing what we do when we can't sleep!

  5. Woo hoo, you are really making headway! My choice is the bridge faucetS. In order; number one but a tad more simplistic in design or number three if using the sonces you and I recently discussed.
Wishing a safe delivery of your sink.

  6. You are seriously making me want to do a bathroom again!

I went for option 1. I think the 2nd bridge faucet is a little too "throwback" and I think the first has cleaner lines so it straddles the line between classic and contemporary.

  7. I'm playing it 'safe' with my choice at #2. Now, what I really want to know is when are you coming to Georgia to re-do MY bathroom!?!?! They are OLD, standard, BOOORING! LOL The tile looks AWESOME!

  11. From one insomniac to another...
When I paint (in the wee hours), I love having the movie, Sister Act 2, playing...loudly.

Love the tile work! Without seeing the sink, I lean toward #1.

  12. Great job and think nothing of working at that hour as it's when I'm at my best!

I went with No. 3 as the white handles give a vintage look plus picking up on your white tile.

    It looks great.

  14. The tile looks so good! I know you saved "the best for last." That 3rd wall will be a challenge. I love the first and the 3rd faucet. Actually, the 3rd one is more unique.

  16. Artie~ while you were constructing a tiled wall, I was constructing Conversation Heart petit fours in the early AM, which I refer to as o'dark 30. We've got one vanity down with a brushed nickel finished faucet. Although I'm really drawn to faucet #1. Mine looks very similar to #2.
I'm sure either will be a good match that you'll be happy with.

    Sweet Valentine wishes,
    Sara
