Spring has Sprung

One of my favorite seasons is Spring. It's a refreshing experience of renewal and rebirth. The gardens of CdlV didn't have spring growth until this year, thanks to the hundreds of bulbs we planted last fall. I didn't plan on having as many of them succeed as did - so the surprise is pleasant, and made way for fresh flowers throughout the house.

Here's wishing you a happy Spring season ... may it refresh and renew!

  1. There's nothing like real flowers inside -- that is one reason to garden -- what a lovely bouquet!!!!

And they should give you pleasure for many years to come!

  2. One nice thing about daffodils is that they continue to produce year after year with as much intensity as the first year! You will enjoy the fruits of your labor for years to come! Gorgeous!

  8. Good for you. They are beautiful. I planted about 100 bulbs a year at my old house and loved being able to bring them inside. I mean, you gotta cut the flowers off anyway, so they are perfect for bringing inside.

  9. I've been gone for a month with a very ill mother, so I'm sure I've missed so much around here. The flowers are gorgeous, I'm glad the bulbs came up. Nothing quite like fresh flowers to perk up the house.
