  1. Oh- I LOVE that first room, Artie. I wonder how long the fascination with burlap will last? It's been around for a while now but it will be interesting to see how long the fascination holds. xo Diana

  2. Love the color of burlap... it's like brown paper wrappers... I have painted so many pieces of furniture and cabinets this earthy color... I don't know how long burlap will be trendy but the color will stay indefinitely...loved the board covered in burlap with the watercolor art attached... great post... enjoyed your last post as well... it was good to hear your thoughts... headed to Netflix... treadmill and Netflix... yeah!

  3. I love burlap. I know it comes and goes. I've been around long enough to have seen draperies/curtains made of burlap way back when.

    The images are beautiful, Artie.

  5. Hi! Oh boy - great minds think alike. I will be doing a blogpost on burlap also. I will link to your post when I do it.

What I will be covering is using burlap on furniture. I've done lacquered burlap on cabinets, painted and glazed burlap (in the recessed part of a wainscoting) - and I've seen it as a wallcovering that was stencilled. So I was going to cover a little different tack on the subject.

Love, love, love all your images - it's amazing how beautiful it is and how inexpensive it is.

Great post once again - thanks!

  7. LOVE....the burlap panels in many of the pics...I'm just nuts about burlap these days...just can't go wrong with that look, especially using tacks on upholstered pieces where they show. Thanks for the great pics!
