Kitchen Inspiration Month: Day 27 - Joan Rivers' Connecticut Kitchen

I'm so disappointed that I couldn't bring you more photos of this amazing kitchen. Designed by Joe Cicio, friend of Joan's and long-time Vice President at Macy's (ret.), and Donna Karan execuitve, this kitchen is jaw dropping! If anyone knows where more pictures can be found, please let me know - I'll update this post as they come in!

And because I hate short posts, take a look at the pics I found of Joe Cicio's own kitchen:

I've been shocked that more of Joe Cicio's homes haven't been professionally photographed. Afterall, he did live in Cornwall Connecticut's Hidden Valley Castle, which he sold in 1988.

Can you imagine?

  1. Joan River's kitchen is amazing, just beautiful. Imaginative use of the Europeon mounts of deer. Thanks for sharing and inspiration.

  4. Hi, Artie,
I have been reading your blog for years and this is my first comment. I had to tell you how thrilled I was to see Joan Rivers' kitchen. It is unbelievable--just love that English Country-style decorating in the kitchen with the beautiful stainless steel appliances. I have tried to do something similar in my own home.
Also wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your month of posts about kitchen elements. One of my very favorite blog series ever!!! Hope you will consider taking other rooms and doing similar treatments on your blog. And one more thing--I don't like short blog posts either!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again for all of the work you put into your blog!!
