Last Minute Switch Up

So, remember how I was inspired by this room, done for a showhouse by Antonio Martins?

Well, nothing has changed, really. I'm still very inspired, but when I started working on the guest bedroom, and applying the burlap to the walls, I started to second guess the black ribbon trim and the nail heads. Since I wasn't going to have this amazing lacquered desk, or an incredible wood and tile floor - I needed to get my pop of color in a different way.

Then, I remembered Suzanne Rheinstein had also trimmed a room in grosgrain ribbon. RED grosgrain ribbon, to be exact!

In her Hancock Park home, Suzanne used red grosgrain ribbon to finish off the walls done in a beautiful camel linen. It was this image, that pushed me in the following direction:

Still a work in progress ... but it's getting there. Look for more updates soon!
