Book Review: Amelia Handegan: Rooms

Amelia Handegan has been a leading Southern interior designer for nearly thirty years. Her rooms have been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, and House Beautiful, and range from gracious southern plantation homes to colorful beach cottages. Her Charlston-based interior design firm is known for being sophisticated and at the same time eclectic, fearlessly mixing patterns, and color, antiques and modern art, even vintage mannequins into her designs. This first book, Amelia Handegan: Rooms, published by Rizzoli with pricipal photography by Pieter Estersohn catalogs several projects designed by Handegan and her team of interior designers.

The book features Amelia's own home in South Carolina, and client homes dotted among the Southern Coast, each perfectly finished in Amelia's tasteful and immediately recognizable aesthetic. A fantastic book, which I'm sure will not be her last! Take a closer look and grab your copy via the Amazon link below:

And for more gracious Southern decor, including a project by Amelia, take a look at Susan Sully's book: Houses with Charm
