Book Review: The Creative Home: Inspiring Ideas for Beautiful Living

The Creative Home: Inspiring Ideas for Beautiful Living
By: Geraldine James, Published by CICO Books

Geraldine James has an entire Creative series of books, including Creative Walls, Creative Display, Creative Spaces, and Flea Market Secrets. This fifth book in the collection, The Creative Home is just as beautiful, and inspiring. Based in London, UK, Geraldine started her career in fashion, and moved into home and gift. She developed a passion for the rare and unusual, and through her books has shown us how to live with the things that we love.

The Creative Home breaks down spaces of the home into four chapters: Cook and Eat, which features kitchens, dining and breakfast rooms; Work and Create, which includes home offices and studios; Relax and Socialize, which showcases living rooms, dens, libraries, bedrooms, etc.; and Store and Display (my favorite chapter) which shows you how to store your treasures and display your collections throughout your home. Let's take a look:

Whether you live in a large home or a small apartment, by yourself or with a house full of children; if you have a desire to decorate as though you live in a country farmhouse, a seaside retreat, or a winter chalet, you will find inspiration for creating a beautiful home filled with all the things you love.
